My artworks will be on auction in Boundless Space: The Possibilities of Burning Man, an online charitable auction co-produced by Sotheby’s and Burning Man Project.

Opens Thursday, September 30 and closes on Friday, October 8.

Auction proceeds go to support the artists in the show, and to fund Burning Man art programs & art grants and promote BIPOC artist programming at Burning Man.

STADIUM OF THE SELF

Stadium of the Self is inspired by the ancient structure of the Coliseum, a public structure meant as an arena of competition and judgement. Yet, Stadium of the Self holds only one individual participant in its center. When you look into the stands for approval or judgment, you are faced with an audience of one, simultaneously multiplied 70 times: It is only ourselves that we judge or accept. Originally created for Burning Man in 2006.

A FEMININE INTELLIGENCE

An incantation to call in the Divine Feminine, imagining a healing, compassionate and creative energy that flows through all things. Sensuous, kinetic arabesques, voids and eggs are universal symbols of feminine iconography. This inclusive, nurturing life force is being called forth today, as a counterforce to crushing patriarchal conformity. This is a totem to remind us to lead with a feminine intelligence.
